Impeached Deputy President of the republic of Kenya DP Rigathi Gachagua, has continued what his onslaught against the Kenya Kwanza administration that is led by his former boss Hon William Ruto, accusing him of oppressing Kenyans across the country particularly those on government payroll making their payslips to continue shrinking amid hard economic times.
Speaking after attending a church service on Sunday 2 February 2025, at Almighty God Ministries Church in Mathioya, Murang'a County, Rigathi Gachagua who was accompanied by his close allies declared that he is looking looking forward to form a formidable alliance in the upcoming days, to dethrone President Ruto from power in 2027.
While making his remarks, Rigathi Gachagua vowed that the first thing he will ensure should his team clinch the country's top political seat in 2027, is to do away with the housing levy programme that most Kenyans particularly those on payslips have been finding hard to accept after being forced on them.
As per his remarks, Gachagua indicated that he will restore the dignity of payslips that the current administration has been targeting by introducing punitive taxes rendering hundreds of Kenyans with nothing to be happy about at the end of each month.
"When the new administration is sworn in, the controversial housing levy will have to be abolished with immediate effect. We have to restore the dignity of pay slips. Kenyans have suffered a lot.” Rigathi Gachagua stated.
